Duties
- Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, rail container and chassis, while adhering to all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing fuel efficiency and route planning.
- Handle logistics cargo including both non hazardous and hazordous materials and dangerous goods in strict accordance with hazardous materials regulations.
- Manage delivery documentation accurately, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and compliance paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any issues encountered during transit.
- Maintain a clean driving record by practicing safe driving habits.
Experience
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with proven experience operating tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty vehicles.
- Demonstrated experience with manual transmission trucks is required.
- Prior experience in route driving involving freight delivery across multiple locations preferred.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations related to commercial trucking operations including hours of service and vehicle maintenance standards.
- Experience handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers or hazardous materials is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and execution.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely during load & unload operations using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks when applicable.

Pay: $2,000.00 – $3,500.00 per week
