Duties
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer within local routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to guarantee vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Navigate assigned routes confidently, adhering to schedules while maintaining safety standards on the road
- Communicate effectively with dispatch to coordinate deliveries, pickups, and route adjustments as needed
- Maintain detailed logs (electronic) of driving hours, load details, inspections, and delivery documentation in accordance with company policies
Skills
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record
- Proven truck driving experience with knowledge of route driving and delivery operations
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and customers
