What you’ll do
- Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions across long-distance routes, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies
- Drive a variety of truck types including , refrigerated trailers, dry van deliver freight efficiently
- Plan and follow optimal routes to meet delivery schedules while managing time effectively on the road
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tractor-trailer to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in compliance with federal regulations
- Communicate proactively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered during trips
Experience
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and proven experience in commercial driving
- Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently
- Prior delivery driver experience preferred, especially with freight involving load & unload responsibilities
- Experience handling refrigerated trailers, dry van
- Familiarity with route driving across regional or national distances
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to trucking operations and cargo handling
