Job Overview:
Provide excellent customer service; communicate and coordinate with other departments to resolve tasks. Pull and/or check orders accurately. Be familiar with our products. Drivers need to make deliveries to our local customers (retailers & distributors). Build and maintain business relationship with clients by providing prompt and accurate service; promote customer loyalty. The ideal candidate will start off working in the Warehouse, and eventually transition to the driver position(s).
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Pull and/or check orders for local deliveries, trucking, will-calls, and online orders.
- Make deliveries (unload products by self).
- Unload containers with other warehouse staff as needed.
- Receive deliveries from vendors.
- Safely deliver to customer locations in a safe, timely and courteous manner.
- Maintain driver logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
- Follow all Lollicup Operational Procedures/Standards.
- Adhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
- Maintain the service and appearance of the trucks.
- Follow delivery/pickup instructions from Dispatcher and/or Counter Personnel.
- Break down pallets and down stack boxes when needed at delivery point.
- Work in the warehouse when not needed for deliveries.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by manager or dispatch responsibilities:
– Safely operate a commercial vehicle, such as a tractor-trailer or delivery truck, to transport goods to designated locations
– Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving and ensure the timely and accurate delivery of goods
– Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other appropriate equipment
– Inspect vehicles before and after each trip to ensure they are in good working condition
– Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
– Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues that may arise
– Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety, transportation, and delivery protocols
Skills:
– Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
– Proven experience as a truck driver or delivery driver
– Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle
– Proficient in navigating routes using GPS or maps
– Strong communication skills to interact with customers, dispatchers, and team members
– Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor as required for loading/unloading cargo
– Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 – $22.00 per hour
