Duties
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across assigned routes, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring cargo integrity and security.
- Drive a variety of specialized trailers including refrigerated units, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to deliver goods to multiple destinations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before hitting the road.
- Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules while maintaining compliance with hours-of-service regulations.
- Communicate professionally with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and DOT regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and delivery operations.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks with a strong understanding of tractor-trailer handling.
- Experience handling various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is preferred.
- Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or other equipment when required.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to freight transportation and vehicle maintenance standards.

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
