Suncoast Drivers is hiring an experienced CDL Class A Truck Driver for a regional route operating throughout a 5-state area. This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers seeking consistent hours, competitive pay, reliable equipment, and home time every weekend.
Position Details
- Job Title: CDL Class A Truck Driver
- Pay: $26.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday-Friday
- Start Time: Between 11:00 PM and 3:00 AM
- Home Time: Home every weekend
- Equipment: Sleeper Cab Tractor-Trailer
- Freight Type: Dry Van, Palletized Freight, Dock Deliveries, Liftgate Deliveries
CDL Driver Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer and sleeper cab on regional routes.
- Transport and deliver dry van freight across multiple states.
- Perform pallet deliveries to customer locations.
- Complete dock deliveries and liftgate unloads as required.
- Occasionally assist with unloading loose freight, including pipes, PVC materials, and other construction-related products.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs.
- Provide professional customer service during deliveries and pickups.
CDL Class A Driver Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A License
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Minimum 1 year of Class A tractor-trailer driving experience preferred
- Experience operating dry van trailers and sleeper cabs
- Knowledge of DOT safety regulations and FMCSA compliance
- Ability to handle occasional freight unloading
- Strong safety record and commitment to safe driving practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Regional or OTR driving experience
- Experience with palletized freight distribution
- Dock delivery experience
- Liftgate delivery experience
- Professional trucking, logistics, transportation, or freight delivery background
