Class A or B CDL Driver
Job description:
This position will report to the Location Manager and will have accountability for driving trucks to make deliveries.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Report defects, accidents or violations
- Conduct a standard DOT truck inspection
- Complete all company and DOT required paperwork
- Other duties as required
- Home every night
- Mon-Friday every other Saturday during Summer season

Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a truck driver
- Hands-on experience with software, such as GPS
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
- Ability to climb in and out of truck
- Ability to tarp and remove tarp from hopper using a hopper crank
- Must meet Department of Transportation age requirement of 21
- Must meet Department of Transportation physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening and random substance abuse screening as per company policy
- Must pass motor vehicle report requirements as per company policy
- Hazmat certification preferred
- Class A or Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement
