Job Description
We are hiring a Class A CDL driver for local intermodal service at the Troutdale Terminal, based in Oregon. The role involves picking up and dropping off containers locally with drop & hook and live load/unload, no touch freight. Day cab slip seat is provided. Shift hours range from 10 to 12 hours, with morning or evening start times. Work schedules are Sundays through Thursdays or Tuesdays through Saturdays.
Qualifications
- Class A CDL with no incidents within the past year.
- At least 6 months of 53 ft tractor‑trailer experience within the past year.
- CDL address must match the hiring area.
- Must live within 50 miles of the Troutdale Terminal.
- No terminations from the last driving job.
- No SAP drivers (require hair follicle drug screen).
Compensation
Compensation includes 0.65 CPM up to 1,500 dedicated miles per week, $36.50 per load (3–5 loads per day). Short hauls are 80% of loads within a 1–40 mile radius, also $36.50 per load. Weekly average ranges from $1,400 to $1,800, with a yearly average of $80,000–$95,000. W2 + benefits, major carrier Nationwide Fleet.
