Wolf Contractors Inc. has been a top site contractor in the Hampton Roads area for over 40 years and has completed over 1,030 civil construction projects in the Tidewater area. Wolf Contractors is seeking a motivated individual for a full time Class A CDL Hydrovac Driver and Operator position to work out of our Newport News shop and jobsites around Hampton Roads. Primary vehicle for towing the lowboy is a 2025 Kenworth Hydrovac Truck.
As a Hydrovac Driver and Operator, you will run the hydroexcavation truck from our shop to jobsite and perform hydroexcavation with the truck. You will also be responsible for cleaning filters and greasing the vehicle. Hydroexcavation experience is a plus, but not required. We are willing to teach hydroexcavation methods and maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as a CDL driver.
- Background check with clean criminal history.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class A is required.
- Experience with heavy construction equipment.
- Pre-employment drug screening and satisfactory driving record required.
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid CDL with acceptable driving record and no manual restrictions.
- Basic knowledge of construction equipment
- Ability to lift items up to 80 lbs.
- Must be safe while working or driving.
- Must have proper P.P.E. for the environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 – $30.00 per hour
