Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks, including flatbed and tractor-trailer, while ensuring timely delivery of goods to our clients. This role requires strong driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to load and unload cargo efficiently with a Moffett forklift.
Duties
- Operate and drive different types of trucks, including flatbed and tractor-trailer
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition before departure.
- Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations related to trucking operations.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
- Experience with loading and unloading cargo safely.
- Familiarity with flatbed and tractor-trailer operation
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols related to transportation and cargo handling.
- Excellent navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS systems effectively.
- Good communication skills for interacting with clients and dispatchers.
