Brief Summary of the role:
We are looking to hire a dependable and organized Class A truck driver who can consistently provide safe and accurate deliveries. Drivers must be detail-oriented, efficient, and must have a clean driving record. This position will generally work Monday to Friday, and will transport loads across a local route, so drivers will be home daily.
Truck Driver Job Responsibilities:
- Drive and operate trucks.
- Follow instructions; locate and read location and road maps.
- Pre-inspect truck.
- Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed.
- Report road incidents to the dispatcher.
- Obtain signatures or warehouse scans to confirm and complete deliveries with clients.
- Load and unload cargo.
- Inspect trucks and record issues.
- Follow accident procedures should any issues arise.
- Report mechanical problems to maintenance personnel immediately.
- Maintain a positive attitude and build positive relations with customers.
- Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
Truck Driver Skills and Qualifications:
- Traffic laws/ DOT regulations/ driving knowledge
- Pallet jack experience required; forklift experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly throughout day
- Able to pass random drug tests
- Clean driving record
- No DUI/DWI convictions in the past seven years
- Listening and verbal communication skills
- Dependability is very important
Education, Experience, and Age Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must provide current MVR
- Must provide a medical certificate
- CDL – Class A
- Certificate from an accredited CDL school
- 21 years or older

Pay: $28.00 – $30.00 per hour
