Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting building materials safely and efficiently using various types of trucks and equipment. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle freight with care.
Responsibilities
- Operate trucks, including tractor-trailers, to deliver building materials to designated locations.
- Ensure the safe transportation of freight by adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, moffetts, or manual handling techniques as necessary.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all trips.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience driving trucks
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently for loading and unloading cargo.
- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
