Suncoast Drivers is seeking a reliable Class A/B Hazmat Driver for local deliveries in the Tampa Bay area. The ideal candidate will have experience handling hazardous materials, delivering fiberglass and resin products, and safely operating a tractor-trailer. This is a home-daily position, making it perfect for drivers who prefer consistent local routes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle with a hazmat endorsement.
- Deliver pool equipment, supplies, chemicals, etc.
- Handle palletized freight using a pallet jack as needed.
- Follow all DOT and company safety regulations for hazmat transport.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route updates or delays.
Requirements:
- Valid Class A/B CDL with Hazmat endorsement.
- Minimum 2 years of driving experience with hazardous materials.
- Moffett experience preferred.
- Experience handling palletized freight is preferred.
- Clean driving record; MVR trends reviewed.
- Background check: No felonies in the past 7 years, no crimes against minors; theft or violence reviewed carefully.
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug test, MVR check, background check, and medical card verification.
- Ability to work a flexible start time around 5:00–9:00 AM depending on route.
- Physical ability to handle freight using a pallet jack.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
