Position: Charitable Donations Truck Driver Role
Make an impact as a G Licence Truck Driver for the National Diabetes Trust. This part-time role provides the opportunity to collect and transport donations while working up to 29 hours per week.
Help divert clothing and household items from landfills while supporting Diabetes Canada. As a truck driver, you will operate a 3-ton straight truck, ensuring safety and compliance with all regulations. Engage with the community and represent our organization effectively to donors and partners alike.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collect donated items from homes and bins
• Perform vehicle inspections before and after trips
• Document daily routes and hours of service
• Provide proper communication with dispatch
• Ensure all assigned pickups are logged correctly
Requirements:
• Full Class 5/G driver’s license required
• At least 5 years driving experience
• Clean driving record without recent violations
• High school education or equivalent
• Ability to lift and handle 10-50 lbs
