About the Role
As a Cement Equipment Operator, you will operate specialized cementing equipment used during oil and gas well operations. You will be responsible for safely transporting equipment, performing rig up and rig down activities, operating pumping units, monitoring cementing jobs, and performing routine inspections and basic mechanical troubleshooting to keep equipment operating efficiently.
What You’ll Do
- Operate cementing equipment and pumping units during oilfield operations.
- Perform rig up and rig down of cementing units and associated equipment.
- Monitor cementing operations to ensure proper job execution.
- Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and routine equipment inspections.
- Troubleshoot and perform basic mechanical repairs on pumps and cementing equipment.
- Safely transport equipment and materials to and from wellsites using CDL Class A commercial vehicles.
- Complete operational reports, equipment logs, and inspection documentation.
- Follow all company, customer, OSHA, and DOT safety requirements.
- Work closely with field supervisors and crew members to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A (required).
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience operating cementing equipment in the oil and gas industry.
- Experience with rig up/rig down procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work long shifts in outdoor environments.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Clean driving record meeting DOT requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with manual and automatic transmission commercial vehicles.
- Experience operating bulk cement systems or cement mixing equipment.
- Technical or mechanical vocational training.
- Oilfield cementing certifications are a plus.
