Responsibilities:
– Safely operate a variety of trucks, including dump truck, trailer, roll off truck, and flatbed.
– Transport goods and materials to and from specified locations.
– Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
– Inspect vehicles before and after each trip to ensure they are in good working condition.
– Load and unload cargo using equipment as needed.
– Plan routes and follow delivery schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
– Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other relevant information.
– Communicate with foremen and co-workers to coordinate delivery details.
Requirements:
– Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) minimum of Class – B, with the appropriate endorsements for the type of truck being operated.
– Proven experience as a truck driver with the ability to drive a commercial truck with a manual transmission. (6, 10 wheeler, Tri-axle)
– Clean driving record with no recent accidents or traffic violations.
– Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check and hold a valid DOT medical card.
– Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
– Excellent communication skills to interact with foremen, co-workers, and other drivers on the road.
– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
– Physical stamina to sit for long periods of time and lift heavy objects as needed.
