CDL Truck Driver (Class A or B Required)

Ray’s Roofing is seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Truck Driver to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a combination of driving and hands-on warehouse work in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and experience operating commercial vehicles and material-handling equipment. Experience with forklift, piggyback, or conveyor equipment is strongly preferred.

In addition to transportation duties, this role supports warehouse and yard operations including loading/unloading materials, inventory support, forklift operation, and general labor tasks as needed.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Safely operate CDL commercial vehicles to deliver roofing materials to job sites and customers

2. Inspect and maintain assigned truck and equipment to ensure safe operation

3. Load, secure, transport, and unload materials safely and efficiently

4. Operate forklifts, piggyback/Moffett equipment, conveyors, and related material-handling equipment

5. Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on time

6. Maintain all required logs, paperwork, delivery tickets, and reports in compliance with company policy and DOT regulations

7. Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times

8. Assist with warehouse and yard duties including:

1. Loading and unloading trucks

2. Restocking inventory

3. Organizing materials and yard space

4. Assisting with inventory control

5. General warehouse labor and cleanup

9. Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA/DOT regulations

10. Support team operations and perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

1. Valid CDL A or B

2. Air Brake Endorsement

2. Clean driving record

3. Previous commercial driving experience required

4. Experience with forklift, piggyback/Moffett, or conveyor equipment preferred

5. Ability to work safely in a physically demanding environment

6. Strong communication and teamwork skills

7. Dependable, punctual, and professional attitude

8. Ability to adapt to changing schedules and workload demands

Physical Requirements

1. Ability to lift 75-90 lbs regularly and assist with heavier materials when needed

2. Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and repetitive movement

3. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, and rain

4. Ability to safely perform all essential job functions in accordance with ADA requirements

Schedule

Monday – Friday and alternate Saturdays

Typical hours range between:

1. 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM

2. 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Hours may vary based on delivery schedules and operational needs.
