We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while driving various types of trucks, including dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and tankers. Duties
- Operate different types of trucks, including dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and tankers.
- Navigate assigned routes to deliver freight safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials using forklifts or manual methods as required.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays on the route.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Ensure cargo is secure before departure and during transit.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of truck being driven.
- Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with route driving, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, or tankers.
- Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading freight.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks related to loading/unloading freight.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and dispatchers.
