Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled, dependable crew member who can operate excavation equipment and hold a valid Class A CDL. This is a dual-role position: you will be hands-on with excavation and site work on our pool construction projects, and also responsible for transporting heavy equipment and hauling materials to and from job sites. Responsibilities
Excavation & Field Work
– Operate excavators, skid steers, and related equipment safely and efficiently
– Assist the excavation team on custom pool construction sites
– Read and follow construction plan sets and field layouts
– Maintain a safe, organized, and productive job site
– Communicate effectively with crew and superintendent in both English and Spanish
CDL Driving & Equipment Transport
– Transport heavy tractors and equipment to job sites using company trucks and trailers
– Haul dirt, rock, and other construction materials to and from sites
– Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations
– Secure loads properly and operate safely during transit
– Maintain accurate delivery logs, fuel records, and maintenance documentation
– Coordinate with the construction team on delivery and pickup schedules
Requirements
– Valid Class A CDL (required)
– Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
– 3+ years of experience in excavation, grading, or residential site work
– 5+ years of experience in construction trucking and hauling heavy equipment
– 5+ years of experience loading and transporting tractors on trailers
– Experience operating excavators and skid steers
– Ability to read and follow construction plan sets
– Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and safe site practices
– Strong knowledge of Bay Area routes and traffic patterns
– Able to lift 50+ lbs and safely use straps, chains, and tie-downs
– Reliable, punctual, and accountable
– Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment
Experience Required
– Construction trucking: 5 years
– Hauling heavy equipment: 5 years
– Loading tractors on trailers: 5 years
– Excavation / site work: 3 years
