CDL Driver – Dump Truck Jobs in Grimes, IA at Concrete Technologies, Inc.
SUMMARY
Concrete Technologies, Inc. (CTI) is looking for a self-motivated and experienced Dump Truck Driver with a class A or B CDL. Drivers provide outstanding customer service by delivering a quality product safely and efficiently, always representing the company in a friendly and professional manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive dump truck to work locations for pickups and deliveries of aggregates, as well as wet batch concrete.
- Properly load, secure, and unload in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform daily pre- and post-trip safety inspection on equipment and the truck to ensure a safe vehicle.
- Wash out truck after deliveries.
- Perform minor maintenance to truck (tire pressure, oil change, lube job, etc.).
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures including wearing safety equipment and using excellent safety practices while visiting job site per CTI policies, OSHA, and Federal and State laws and regulations.
- Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous commercial truck driving experience, preferred.
- Class A or B CDL with air brakes endorsement required (must maintain valid CDL while employed).
- Valid state Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Must pass Federal DOT record check (FMCSA Clearinghouse).
- Must pass post conditional offer of employment DOT drug screen and physical (must always carry a valid Medical Exam Certificate), and background check.
- Able to work flexible hours M-F with some Saturdays.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills. Work well under time constraints and respond positively to change.
