Overview
Join our 25+ year family owned local lumberyard as a CDL Delivery Driver and Warehouse Worker, where you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of customer orders while supporting warehouse operations. This is a M-F 8-5 position offering a fun and friendly work environment with a variety of benefits. You’ll be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks, trailers, and forklifts, while maintaining excellent customer service and adhering to all safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles ensuring timely deliveries to customers
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or manual handling techniques, ensuring proper handling of inventory
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to verify safety and compliance with DOT regulations
- Assist with warehouse duties such as inventory management, stock organization, and pulling together customer orders of the building materials they need for their building projects.
Skills
- Load and secure all building materials for delivery to customers
- Experience driving larger single axle vehicles and/or pulling larger trailers
- Experience working with and having knowledge about various building materials
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy inventory or operating heavy-duty equipment safely
