CDL Delivery Driver Jobs in Kalispell, MT at Glacier Precast Concrete
Glacier Precast Concrete is now hiring for a full time CDL Delivery Driver for their facility in Kalispell, MT! The ideal candidate will bring their strong work ethic, relevant previous experience, and their willingness to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
This role delivers our products and has direct interactions with the customer. This role must read the load out sheet/invoices and load up our boom trucks or Semis and get our product safely to our customers.
Because of our product size and weight, a CDL is required, however, our drivers only drive around 30% of the time and the other 70% they are loading and offloading product at the shop and customer delivery site. You’ll travel locally when delivering products to our customers, and must follow local laws and understand safety policies and regulations.
This is a day shift role, Monday – Friday. The hours are generally 7 am to 4 pm, however hours may change depending on needs for that day.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy machinery to load your trucks – fork trucks, crane trucks and other pieces of equipment
- Operate a boom truck and read and interpret your load charts
- Read and understand our invoices/ Bill of Lading / Load out sheets.
- Accurately fulfill load outs – Be accountable and point out any mistakes and missing items when loading out.
- Ability to adjust schedule in order to fulfill customer needs
- Comfortable working outdoors year round, PPE provided by company
What will my day-to-day look like?
- Pre-inspect truck, load with materials and verify load for accuracy
- Inspect job site to ensure a safe environment to load and unload
- Communicate and report regularly with dispatcher to ensure timely product delivery at job site
- Communicate potential on-site hazards
- Keep logbook up-to-date at all times
- Adhere to and understand safety policies and regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills
- Have a valid CDL A for state of Montana.
- Able to drive manual transmission Semi trucks
- At least 21 years of age
- Top notch customer service – you are the last one who sees our customers.
- Work safely both at our site and at the customers job sites
- Able to safely lift 50 lbs and maneuver up and down from your truck and bed throughout the day
