Job Summary
Spokane, Seattle, Portland. We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, to transport goods efficiently and on schedule. This role requires a commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate various routes while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operate trucks in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Safely transport freight to designated locations while ensuring timely deliveries.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery schedules.
- Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or delays.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while operating vehicles in various weather conditions.
- Assist in training new drivers on safe driving practices and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required.
- Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of manual transmission operation.
- Familiarity with different types of trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and roll-off trucks is preferred.
- Experience with route driving and delivery operations is a plus.
- Ability to handle freight safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean driving record.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
