CDL Class A Driver – HOME EVERY WEEKEND
CDL Class A Job Description
This is an OTR delivery/pick up position responsible for driving a tractor trailer interstate and intrastate for the purpose of delivering and/or picking up various types of copiers and printers and the associated accessories for these machines. Drivers leave out on either Sunday or Monday and are OTR for 3-4 nights before returning to warehouse. This requires using excellent customer service skills, problem solving skills and working in accordance with state and DOT regulations and MOE company policies and standards.
*Home Time every weekend
*Routes given on Fridays for upcoming week
*Pay weekly on Fridays, Direct Deposit
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- 25+ years of age
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver License
- Valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate Card (MEC).
- 2+ years verifable CDL driving experience
- Pass pre-employment testing (Drug Screen, Background Check).
PAY SCHEDULE:
Weekly on Friday’s Direct Deposit
SALARY:
Touch Freight – Starts at $1100 weekly + Route Pay as applicable
Route Pay:
Overnight Pay – $45 per Mon-Fri
Sunday Pay – $210
Additional Route Pay – $100
Responsibilities:
- Deliver freight within assigned route schedule and time windows. Immediately communicate any deviations and or problems with machines to assigned MOE Account Representative
- Unload freight from truck or trailer, by hand and place in designated customer storage areas. May include transporting freight down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions.
- Frequently moves freight that weighs up to 700 pounds; constantly positions self to load and unload freight, and retrieve items from the truck or trailer with equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, stair climbers, load bars, and fork lifts.
- Operate a smart phone or tablet. Verify delivery or pick up of freight with customer and obtain proper signatures. Contact MOE Account Representative for authorization when discrepancies on BOL or Return Authorization (RA) are found and communicate all errors.
- Other DOT and safety protocol is required and will be reviewed upon applying.
