Job Summary
5 years of driving experience required. We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight and goods to various destinations while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service, with opportunities to operate heavy equipment and perform basic vehicle maintenance. The position offers an engaging work environment with the chance to develop skills in commercial driving and heavy equipment operation.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight across designated routes
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules and issues
Experience
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Prior 5 years of experience in commercial driving or freight transportation preferred
- Experience with freight handling, logistics coordination, or related fields is advantageous
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation
