Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our Tree Service Company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting wood chips, logs , and salt safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and the ability to handle freight with care.
Duties
- Operate various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, log trucks/ trailer, low boys, and chip trucks.
- Loading and unloading using appropriate equipment such as Loaders.
- Ensure the safe transport of goods while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and cargo.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays on the road.
- Utilize manual transmission skills when required for specific vehicle types.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Previous experience in freight transportation or logistics is a plus.
