Aldora Aluminum and Glass Products, Inc., a large glass and aluminum fabricator, is in search of a licensed and experienced CDL Class B truck driver.
Required: valid license and a current Medical Examiner Certificate.
Full time work schedule: Monday – Friday * Morning Shift
Responsibilities
- Transport finished goods (glass) from manufacturing plants to customers
- Follow planned routes and meet delivery schedules
- Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Unload materials for customers
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report defects, accidents, and violations
- Inspect and document vehicles for mechanical and safety issues
Skills
- Valid CDL truck driving license and valid medical certificate
- Recent work experience as a truck driver
- Able to unload materials and operate equipment safely
- Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units)
- Extensive knowledge of applicable DOT truck driving rules and regulations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
