A CDL Class B Driver with an air brake endorsement is responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles such as straight trucks, dump trucks, and delivery vehicles equipped with air brake systems. This role involves transporting goods, materials, or equipment to and from job sites, warehouses, or customer locations while ensuring compliance with all transportation and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Class B commercial vehicles with air brake systems safely and efficiently
- Perform pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Transport materials or goods to designated locations in a timely manner
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securement
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and required documentation
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal DOT regulations
- Communicate with dispatch, supervisors, and customers as needed
- Report any vehicle issues, accidents, or delays promptly
Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid CDL Class B license with air brake endorsement
- Clean driving record and knowledge of DOT regulations
- Experience operating commercial vehicles such as box trucks, dump trucks, or similar
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and loading/unloading materials
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and follow directions
Work Environment:
This position involves driving in various weather and traffic conditions. Drivers may be required to perform physical labor, work flexible hours, and travel locally or regionally depending on the employer’s needs.
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
