Looking for a high-paying dedicated account with weekly home time and consistent freight? We are hiring CDL-A drivers for a dedicated Dollar store account based in Ames, IA. This position offers strong weekly earnings, predictable freight, and one of the top pay packages available for drivers comfortable with unload freight.
Pay & Bonuses
- $1,825 average weekly pay
- $95,000 annual average
- $2,500 sign-on bonus
- $0.71 CPM regardless of experience
- $1.18 all-in pay average (CPM + accessorial + stop pay)
- $285 full trailer unload pay
- $20 per stop
- $50 per backhaul
- Paid weekly
Schedule / Home Time
- Home weekly for a 34-hour reset
- Early morning store deliveries
- Night driving involved
- Weekend and holiday deliveries may be part of schedule
- Average 2 loads per week
Freight & Routes
- Dedicated Dollar store freight
- 100% driver unload using rollers
- Average 3–5 stops per route
- Average 1,500 miles weekly
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer
- Complete store deliveries on time
- Unload freight using rollers
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Use ELD and maintain Hours of Service compliance
- Maintain professional communication with dispatch and stores
Qualifications
- Valid CDL-A license
- Able to unload freight consistently
- Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays
- Able to work in hot and cold temperatures
- Strong patience and customer service skills
- Secure truck/trailer parking during home time on personal property or gated secured location
