Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and be proficient in operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers and flatbeds. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive assigned trucks to transport goods to designated locations.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of freight, securing cargo as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries as required by regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Manage routes efficiently to optimize delivery times while ensuring safety.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailers or flatbeds.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with dispatchers and clients.
