CDL-A OTR Driver — Household Goods / Long Distance Moving | $120K–$200K
Two Twigs Moving is hiring an experienced CDL-A driver to run our long-distance household goods moves out of Charleston, SC.
The Role
You’ll haul residential moves cross-country — trips can run 2–3 weeks at a time. You drive the linehaul, and we hire labor on the destination end for unloading, so you’re not carrying the whole move on your back. When you do work the load or unload, you get paid extra for it.
How You Get Paid
– 10% of the total move revenue on every load you haul — long-distance household goods moves are high-revenue, and your pay scales with every job on the truck
– $25/hour on top whenever you work loading or unloading
– Top drivers running steady are in the $120,000–$200,000/year range
What You’ll Do
– Run long-distance household goods moves (trips of 2–3 weeks at times)
– Operate and maintain a clean, DOT-compliant tractor-trailer
– Oversee loading at origin and coordinate with hired labor crews at destination
– Protect shipments — pad wrapping, load securement, and claim-free deliveries
– Keep accurate logs (ELD) and communicate with dispatch throughout the trip
Requirements
– Valid Class A CDL with a clean MVR
– 2+ years driving household goods — this is a must; furniture freight is a different game and you know it
– Comfortable being on the road 2–3 weeks at a time
– Able to supervise crews and represent us professionally in customers’ homes
– Physically able to work load/unload when needed (75+ lbs)
– DOT medical card and ability to pass drug screen
