Less seasonal employment than other seasonal industries. Typically getting 45-48 weeks of work a year with optional travel to Tennessee.

Job Summary
Assist with daily chip seal and paving operations including namely driving and some moderate manual labor. The ideal candidate is reliable, takes initiative, and works well as part of a team.

Responsibilities
Driving of a CDL Class Vehicle, either a dump truck or asphalt distributor. Specifics of the job can and will be taught. Truck may be assigned based on A or B CDL licensing and ability and desire to do associated labor.
Assist with raking, shoveling, and leaf blowing during chip seal and asphalt jobs. Spraying of hot asphalt with hose. Must be able to perform this manual labor. Manual labor skills can be taught.
Must be dependable, punctual, and safety-focused
MUST Communicate effectively with team members and occasionally with customers.
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
(Required) Valid CDL A or B driver’s license. Tankers endorsement should be had or plan to take short SOS test.
Compensation Starting at $1200-$1500 per week for 5.5 days a week of work.
Skills and experience that affect the pay range:
– Team Leadership skills including; Team logistics to expedite jobs, initiative to create systems, excellent communication skills with both business and customers.
-Previous Chip Seal or Asphalt experience
-Skid steer operation in grading. (See other job listing)
-Perform basic electrical and mechanical work (oil changes, brakes, small engine, trailer wiring, etc.) if capable.
