Open position: Driver Lead BC | FedEx Ground
Compensation: $1,600 / Week Salary + Full Benefits
Location: Mahtomedi, Mn
Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday 10a-9p
Position Duties:
The Driver Lead BC is responsible for
- Operating a tractor trailer on a dedicated or flexible route (3 days per week), heavier during peak season Nov-Jan
- Road testing new drivers
- Coordinating trucks in for maintenance and repairs
- Training new drivers & coaching existing drivers
- Trouble shooting mechanical issues
- Assisting drivers with ELD or paperwork issues
- Maintaining company policies and procedures
The Driver Lead BC position is the driver manager in charge at each station we operate in. The Driver Lead drives a full time shift and is responsible for monitoring efficiency and performance within their station and reporting to the Operations Supervisor on duty.
Experience Required:
- 2 year verifiable tractor trailer class A driving experience with doubles preferred
- Experience managing, coaching, training.
- Ability to troubleshoot & resolve problematic situations
- Basic mechanical commonsense
- Ability to organize and maintain an efficient flow of work
- Technology savy
- Doubles endorsement required
