Overview
Alpine Transportation is a family-owned vehicle transportation company serving the Pacific Northwest. We value honesty, safety, and hard work. We’re looking for a motivated CDL Class A Car Hauler Driver who wants consistent miles, competitive pay, and the opportunity to grow with our company. Previous car hauling experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate with a strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
Responsibilities
Safely transport vehicles using a multi-car hauler in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the truck, trailer, tie-downs, and equipment.
- Carefully load, secure, and unload vehicles while preventing damage and following all safety procedures.
- Inspect vehicles before pickup and delivery and accurately document any existing damage.
- Ensure all vehicles are properly secured and recheck securement throughout transport.
- Maintain ELD logs and comply with Hours of Service regulations.
- Communicate professionally with customers, dealerships, auctions, and dispatch.
- Keep equipment clean and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Deliver vehicles safely, professionally, and on time.
Skills
Skills & Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred
- Car hauling experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)
- Knowledge of vehicle loading, unloading, and securement procedures
- Ability to perform detailed vehicle and equipment inspections
- Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and Hours of Service requirementnt
- Ability to operate electronic logging devices (ELDs)
- Excellent time management and route planning skills
Ability to work independently and solve problems in the field
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to climb, bend, kneel, and work outdoors in various weather conditions
Pay: $1,800.00 – $2,100.00 per week
