Position Details
Role: CDL A Driver
Shift: 4:30–6:00 AM start, Monday–Friday (some Saturdays as needed)
Pay: $32.80/hr + overtime
Location: New Bedford, MA
Hours: 40–60 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor‑trailer equipment in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and all federal, state, and local regulations
- Perform thorough pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and complete DVIR documentation
- Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage immediately
- Notify Dispatch/Route Manager of service interruptions (road closures, hazards, inaccessible locations, etc.)
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate customer requests promptly
- Fully empty receptacles and maintain clean, debris‑free customer locations
- Follow assigned routes and complete all end‑of‑day paperwork and check‑out procedures
- Light loading/unloading, vending, twisting, and related duties
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A license
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable CDL A driving experience
- Clean driving record (MVR)
- Ability to work 40–60 hours weekly
- Strong communication skills and understanding of DOT regulations
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role
