Hastings Hide Inc is Hiring Local Drivers in Hastings, NE
The driver will be picking up local loads and bringing them to Hastings, NE. All loads are round-trip within 150 miles of Hastings and will be home every night.

- Average work hours are 9am to 7-8pm M-F and occasional Saturdays (Rotating Schedule with other drivers) but starting/Ending hours may vary depending on loads

Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual/automatic transmissions across assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport refrigerated trailers , dryvan, and dump trucks depending on the shipment requirements
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards
- Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports throughout each shift
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries, providing exceptional service at all times
Qualifications
- 2 + years of experience.
- Background checks and a negative drug test are mandatory for employment.
- Applicants must have no more than one (1) preventable (at-fault) accident in the last three (3) years, no major preventable accidents with over $10,000 in damage or any personal injuries in the past twelve months and a history of no repeated preventable accidents.
- Valid CDL A license with proven experience operating tractor-trailers in a commercial setting
- Demonstrated proficiency in driving automatic and transmission trucks
- Prior experience handling refrigerated trailers, dry van, or dump trucks is preferred
- Knowledge of load & unload procedures
- Ability to perform route driving confidently while maintaining safety standards
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols related to trucking operations
