Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tow/car hauler Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to operate various types of tow trucks, including flatbed models. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage conflicts effectively while assisting customers in distress.
Duties
- Operate tow trucks safely and efficiently to transport vehicles.
- Perform automotive diagnostics and minor repairs as needed.
- Load and unload vehicles onto tow trucks, ensuring proper securing techniques are used.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and needs during towing operations.
- Maintain accurate records of services rendered and vehicle conditions.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on tow trucks to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage conflict situations with professionalism, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues that may arise during towing operations.
- Drive manual transmission vehicles as required.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in automotive repair and diagnostics.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and ability to perform minor repairs on-site.
- Experience operating flatbed tow trucks is preferred.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and work in various weather conditions.
- Forklift operation experience is a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $800.00 – $1,000.00 per week
