MUST HAVE CLASS B CDL WITH PASSENGER ENDORSEMENT
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Operates transit buses, vans on fixed routes, door-to-door routes, and others as assigned.
· Loads and unloads passengers; loads, properly secures, and unloads wheelchair passengers.
· Observes all state and federal laws for safe operation of vehicles.
· Performs pre-trip walk-around of assigned vehicle.
· Fuels and cleans interior of vehicle; reports any vehicle problems to supervisor and writes up repair order at beginning and end of shift.
· Participates in training activities and safety/staff meetings.
· Prepares driver statistical and performance reports.
· Observes proper fare collection procedures.
· Interact with public respectfully and professionally.
· Assists elderly and disabled passengers.
· Maintains proper communication with dispatch concerning stops.
· May assist in training new drivers; performs related work as required.
· Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.
