Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid Certificate.
- Minimum age of 18 years.

Job Responsibilities
- Oversee students and/or special education students on scheduled routes and excursions.
- Enforce rules, regulations, and legal requirements to maintain safety during transport.
- Ensure safety of special education students during transport, loading, and unloading, and properly secure medical equipment or assistive devices.
- Maintain student ridership rosters.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with students.
- Use district-approved techniques to maintain order on the bus and enforce school safety standards.
- Enforce school system rules regarding student conduct on the bus.
- Assist drivers in preparing weekly reports on number of students, trips (runs), work hours, miles, and fuel consumption.
- Help keep the assigned bus clean and hygienic.
- Participate in mandatory state training and ongoing in‑service classroom training covering laws, policies, safe driving practices, driver‑pupil relations, emergency evacuation procedures, and special needs of disabled or emotionally troubled students.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Work Hours
Work hours will be in accordance with hours determined by the Executive Director of Transportation.
