Job Overview
Come join our dynamic team as a Box Truck Driver and become a vital part of our logistics operations! In this role, you’ll be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and exceptional service. We cover all of RI, Eastern Massachusetts/Boston area, and Western Connecticut.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks and commercial vehicles
- Load and unload freight efficiently – such as Windows, Doors, Cabinets, and finish trim material – using proper techniques
- Plan and follow optimized delivery routes to ensure punctual arrivals at multiple destinations
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips to maintain safety standards and report any issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery confirmation records
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate pickups, drop-offs, and address any route or delivery issues
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle type being operated
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving freight handling
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, traffic laws, and best practices for commercial driving
- Physical ability to lift heavy packages
- Prior experience with box truck work is a plus!
