Position: Full-Time Box Truck Driver
Drive box trucks and assist plant operations with GFL in Sydney, Nova Scotia. This full-time position involves loading, unloading, and transporting various hazardous materials.
As a Box Truck Driver with GFL, you will collect liquid and solid hazardous wastes from customer sites while operating various trucks, including vacuum and box trucks. Daily responsibilities include maintaining contact with your supervisor and completing required paperwork for safe operations. Shift work and overtime are essential parts of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate box trucks, vacuum trucks, and trailers
• Safely load and unload hazardous materials
• Complete pre and post-trip inspections
• Maintain cleanliness of tools and equipment
• Conduct driver check-ins and paperwork accuracy
Requirements:
• High School diploma minimum
• Valid Class 3 Driver’s License
• Ability to work shift hours with overtime
