We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of commercial trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialty vehicles.
- Follow designated routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across multiple locations.
- Load and unload freight efficiently while complying with logistics cargo handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, hazardous materials regulations, and dangerous goods handling protocols.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure compliance with safety standards and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any logistical issues promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and delivery operations.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles and familiarity with various truck types such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and pallet jack.
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance standards, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for dangerous goods.
- Skilled in manual handling techniques for cargo loading/unloading while maintaining safety standards.
- Excellent navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for efficient route planning and execution.
- Ability to handle logistics cargo handling tasks accurately under tight schedules.
- Valid driver’s license with appropriate endorsements for different vehicle types and cargoes.
- Physical stamina to perform load & unload activities as required by the role.
