Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight efficiently using proper techniques and equipment like forklifts when necessary
- Plan and follow optimized delivery routes to ensure punctual deliveries across multiple locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery receipts for accountability
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes
- Assist in securing freight properly to prevent damage during transit and ensure safe transportation of goods
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating box trucks, including manual transmission experience if applicable
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or truck driver, preferably with freight or cargo transportation background
- Ability to load & unload freight safely using equipment like forklifts or manual methods
- Strong knowledge of route driving best practices and traffic laws to ensure safe deliveries
- Experience operating specialized vehicles such as tractor-trailers or tanker trucks is a plus
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and customer service excellence
Pay: $18.00 – $26.00 per hour
