Position Summary
Mark’s Leisure Time Marine is looking for a dependable, safety-focused Boat Delivery & Transport Specialist to join our Avon Service Center.
This is much more than a driving position. You’ll transport boats between our dealership locations, marinas, storage facilities, and customer homes while also helping organize the service yard, launch and retrieve boats, stage inventory, and support daily service operations.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in doing things the right way, and is comfortable towing trailers and working around boats. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be an important part of keeping our dealership running efficiently.
A CDL is highly valued because some of our larger boats require CDL-qualified drivers. If you already have a CDL, you’ll have opportunities to transport larger boats. If you don’t have a CDL but have towing experience and a willingness to learn, we’d still love to hear from you.
Essential Responsibilities
- Safely transport boats between dealership locations, marinas, storage facilities, and customer homes.
- Deliver boats to customers while providing a professional, friendly, and knowledgeable experience.
- Launch and retrieve boats at public and private boat ramps.
- Load, unload, secure, and inspect boats before and after transport.
- Perform daily inspections of trucks, trailers, and towing equipment.
- Move, stage, and organize boats throughout the dealership and service yard.
- Assist the service department with general lot operations and daily workflow.
- Keep trucks, trailers, and equipment clean, organized, and well maintained.
- Assist with snow removal and property maintenance during the winter months.
- Work closely with the sales and service teams to ensure boats are delivered safely, on time, and customer-ready.
- Represent Mark’s Leisure Time Marine professionally at every customer interaction.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience towing trailers and backing trailers safely.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to help wherever needed.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- CDL Class A or B (highly preferred but not required).
- Experience transporting boats, RVs, construction equipment, or other large trailers.
- Experience launching and operating boats.
- Forklift or heavy equipment operation experience.
- Mechanical aptitude or previous experience working in the marine, automotive, landscaping, construction, agricultural, or equipment industries.

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
