Job Summary:
The Tack / Distributor Truck is vital to the continuous operation of the asphalt crew. This candidate will be versatile in several positions on the crew. While serving as the Tack / Distributor Truck Operator, you will transport supplies, such as hot oil, burner, and tack, to our asphalt job sites. The driver will also oil, grease, and service equipment pertaining to the Asphalt crew needs. A successful Driver requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, a high level of quality, and a strong focus on productivity. The work environment is dirty, oily, and sometimes requires exposure to extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
Job Duties:
- Oil, grease, service, and make necessary operating adjustments to equipment.
- Responsible for the efficient working condition of the equipment and performing minor service and maintenance needs.
- Maneuver truck into loading and unloading positions.
- Safely transport hazard materials to and from job sites daily.
- Assists team members with manual laborer duties when necessary.
- Properly document and record keep necessary forms.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Job Requirements:
- Must have valid Class A or B CDL, with no manual restriction.
- Must hold Tanker and Hazmat Endorsement.
- Must be able to pass FMCSA DQF Requirements.
- Prior hazardous material hauling preferred.
- Must be willing to laborer outside of the truck.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Able to work nights, weekends, and overtime, as needed.
