Appliance Installer
Job Title: Appliance Installer
Summary: The Installer is to deliver, install, and connect appliances for customers; will move parts, goods, and other merchandise from one location to another. Load, unload, and deliver supplies and materials to customers in an accurate and timely manner; efficiently and safely transports, sorts, and stocks materials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
● Completes an efficient delivery and pick up route for the day.
● Loads and unloads delivery vehicle with parcels scheduled for delivery, and unloads vehicle after completing delivery runs.
● Delivers parcels to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.
● Picks up parcels along the scheduled route, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requested.
● Interactions with customers and responsible in a professional manner providing excellent customer service during the delivery process.
● Maintains basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made. Including and not limited to following and observing all traffic laws and speed limits.
● Responsible for installing washers, dryers, refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, wine coolers, microwaves, etc. in an efficient and effective manner while displaying courteous and polite demeanor to the customers.
● Observes and tests operation of appliances, such as refrigerators, washers, and dryers, and makes initial installation adjustments accordingly
Appliance Installer
● Level refrigerators, adjust doors, and connect water lines to water pipes for ice makers and water dispensers using hand tools.
● Levels washing machines and connects hoses to water pipes, using plumbing and other hand tools.
● Lights and adjusts pilot on gas stoves and examines values and burners for gas leakage and specified flame.
● Advise customers regarding use and care of appliances.
● Disassembles and re-installs existing kitchen cabinets in conjunction with appliance installation.
● Assists in general warehouse duties when delivery route is completed.
● Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
● High School diploma or GED or at least 1-2 years of equivalent related experience
● Preferred 2 years built-in appliance installation experience and able to wire outlets, intermediate experience in electrical, plumbing, and mechanical
● Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
● Ability to work with minimal supervision, ability to manage priorities and workflow
● Strong interpersonal skills, commitment to excellence and high standards on the job
● Must have strong customer service skills to interact with customers when making deliveries
● Excellent written and oral communication is a must and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines within a constantly changing field.

Physical Requirements
● Close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
● Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 75 pounds and occasionally 150+ pounds.

● able to climb in and out of van multiple times per day
● able to walk up and down stairs as necessary to deliver items
● Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dolly in various types of weather.
● Must be able to stand, walk, and sit regularly, in addition to: must be able to utilize hand dexterity, climb, bend, balance, stoop, kneel, and crawl regularly as the job requires.
● Must be able to work under extreme weather conditions (heat and cold) frequently based on what is expected to complete the job.
● Must be able to hear, see, communicate and utilize the necessary equipment required to complete the job in a timely manner.
● Performs other related duties as assigned.
Working Conditions (may add additional conditions specific to defined work
locations):
● Generally, in an indoor setting, however, you may participate in outside activities and events.
● Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends, and extended hours as business needs dictate.
