Duties
- Safely operate ambulance vehicles and other emergency response transport units in compliance with state transportation regulations and company policies
- Transport patients swiftly and securely for all appointments.
- Assist paramedics or emergency medical personnel with patient loading, unloading, and basic manual handling as needed. Could involve heavy lifting at times.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and ensure the ambulance is fully equipped and operational at all times
- Adhere to traffic laws and safety protocols while driving.
- Experience as a driver, will be a plus with a oversize vechicle demonstrating safe driving practices
- Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and manual handling procedures for patient care support
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, medical teams, dispatchers, and the public
- Experience with vehicle maintenance routines to ensure safety standards are consistently met
- Valid driver’s license is required with a six year driving record.
