Purpose of Position:
To maintain aircraft in an airworthy condition and carry out maintenance tasks as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the Crew Chief or a licensed engineer, carry out inspections, dismantle and assemble aircraft systems for repair and/or overhaul of aircraft systems and its components on company aircraft.
- Learn and understand troubleshooting aircraft defects and carry out corrective action as required.
- Carry out maintenance duties on company aircraft.
- Report on issues affecting the serviceability of aircraft.
- Ensure aircraft are maintained in accordance with company requirements and Transport Canada regulations.
- Perform duties in accordance with established policies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety, the safety of co‑workers and customers.
Key Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Transport Canada‑approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) program.
- Transport Canada accreditation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC).
- Valid Canadian‑issued driver’s license with no restrictions or conditions.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Airport Vehicle Operator Permit (AVOP).
- Line aircraft maintenance experience is considered an asset.
- Legal working authority in Canada is required.
- Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written, are required.
