We are seeking a reliable and caring Afterschool Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting children to and from school and our daycare center each day. This role requires patience, attentiveness, and a genuine love for working with children.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a daycare/school bus to transport children to and from school and our daycare center.
- Ensure that all children are seated and buckled as required before driving.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and positive environment on the bus at all times.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and daycare transportation policies.
- Communicate with daycare staff and parents regarding transportation needs or concerns.
- Assist children with boarding and exiting the bus when needed.
- Report any incidents, maintenance issues, or delays promptly to management.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience driving children (school bus, daycare van, or similar) preferred.
- Must pass a background check, drug screening, and meet state childcare transportation requirements.
- Ability to manage groups of children in a calm, positive, and professional manner.
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
