As a 4WD / Driver Trainer Assessor with Saltire Training Group you will deliver nationally accredited and non-accredited training programs to a range of different clients. 

 

We are seeking suitably qualified individuals from a mining, exploration, or commercial driving background who either hold or are working toward attaining their Cert IV in Training and Assessment to deliver a range of courses focused on vehicle operations and safety on and off road.

 

As the successful candidate you will possess the following:

  • TAE40122, TAE40116 OR TAE40110- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent/higher OR or are working toward attaining the Certificate IV TAE. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver training programs in accordance with company and industry standards.
  • Conduct assessments and provide constructive feedback to participants.
  • Ensure all training materials and assessments are up-to-date and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of training and assessment activities.
  • Collaborate with management to identify training needs and develop tailored training solutions.
  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

 

Essential

  • Valid “C” class drivers licence or above. Reliable transport and willingness to travel across Perth when required
  • Ideally have experience in defensive driving or Four Wheel Drive training (4WD)
  • Proven organisational skills within a training environment and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Have no issues delivering training to large groups of students (6-15 persons)
  • Exceptional skills in the presentation of material and the ability to build relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively coach others in improvement and upskilling.
  • Very good organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks and work both independently and as part of a team.

 

Any or all of the following Units of Competency would be an advantage but are not essential:

  • TLIC1051 – Operate commercial vehicle
  • RIIVEH201E – Operate a light vehicle
  • TLIC0023 – Operate four wheel drive vehicle
  • RIIVEH305F – Operate and maintain a four wheel drive vehicle
  • PMASUP236 – Operate vehicles in the field

 

You must have or be willing to Provide a National Police Certificate (issued within the last 6 months).
